This Nano-technology
K-12 education Workshop is organized to share the
teaching experiences with UAE professors, scholars, and
school teachers. During the past five years, the
nanotech education program is a part of the national
research program which Taiwan had a budget of about 100
million US dollars in every year. This education program
has had very fruitful outcome and is one of the very
successful programs among many Taiwan research projects.
This UAE-Taiwan joint-workshop will invite about 15
Taiwan university professors and seed teachers to talk
about how they teach nanotechnology in the elementary
schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools.
We hope that this Workshop will be helpful for UAE to
develop its own future K-12 nanotechnology education
program. Moreover, this Workshop will continue the
effort to give a stimulating and thought-provoking forum
for sharing the latest educational development ideas in
K-12 education program.
