H.E. Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education, witnessed the ceremony held by the Institute of Applied Technology, under the slogan "The House is Unified" on the occasion of the graduation of the seventh batch of the Applied Technology High School, Dubai branch, during which the students presented the epic of loyalty to His Highness the Head of State.
The new batch included 177 students forming an elite group of national cadres specialized in Engineering Science and Technology, Computer Science and other disciplines of advanced technology.
The ceremony was held at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai, in the presence of Dr. Abdullatif Alshamsi, Director General of the Institute of Applied Technology, Mr. Ahmad Al Mulla, Director of Student Affairs, Ms. Rashida Nachef, Director of Applied Technology High Schools, Mr. Philip Martin, Principle of Applied Technology High School in Dubai and a group of Officials and a large gathering of parents and guardians.
His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami in a press statement after the ceremony, said that the success of the Abu Dhabi Center for Education & Training Institute and the Institute of Applied Technology in spreading the technological education in the country is part of the achievements of the wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him, and H.H's eagerness to expand the deployment of technical education to all the emirates of the State, being the strong foundation for building a knowledge-based economy necessary to meet the State’s 2021 strategic plan and Abu Dhabi vision 2030.
The celebration started with a speech by Dr. Abdullatif Alshamsi, in which he conveyed, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Applied Technology, sincere congratulations and blessings to the wise leadership in the occasion of the graduation of the seventh batch comprised of (1092) male and female national students, out of which (177) students are from Dubai branch.
