292 UAE Nationals from IAT High Schools concluded their training mission in major industrial enterprises in eight industrial countries: USA, France, South Korea, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Canada and Scotland, during which they received advanced and specialized training in various fields of engineering, technolgoy, Space, Aviation, Nuclear Energy and other fields. The mission, and for the first time, included 48 female students and 20 students from Advanced Science Program in grade nine.

 

Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, Managing Director, IAT, said that the foreign missions for ATHS students come within the implemented advanced scientific curriculum which include the latest universal methods needed for the preparation of young UAE cadres capable of keeping pace with the technical development in the industrially advanced countries.

 

Dr. Al Shamsi pointed out that the programs of external training missions in ATHS this year witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of students participants by 160% compared to 2011. These missions are an essential part of the technological education system adopted by IAT, by linking between theoretical study and training.

The delegated students were selected according to accurate criteria based on performance reports and student's results in consistency with the technological orientation and student’s excellence during the academic year.

The delegated students were accompanied by qualified supervisors who have the necessary experiences to help them benefit from all the activities during the mission.
